Samsung has announced that starting in the summer of 2022, those people who own the Galaxy devices will be able to self-repair their most popular models. These include the Galaxy S20 and S21 smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Tab S7+ tablets.

Users will have access to original parts, repair tools, and guides that tell step-by-step how to repair your device. As part of this program, the company is partnering with the iFixit team, a well-known online repair community. Read also: DC Comics Brings the Batman Character Into the World of NFTs for $60 Million

For the first time, Galaxy users will be able to change display assemblies, as well as back glass, and charging ports themselves. In addition, they will have the possibility to return used parts to the Samsung stores for further recycling. In the future, Samsung also plans to develop a self-repair program to more devices. Additional details on the program are planned to be published closer to its launch.
